I had to last night no friends around and it started to rain hard oh yeah mine is sprung over so that dosent help climbing up on the tailgate with it on your back any easier:barf: :barf: :)

Did it once. It's not easy, but it was better than when I put it on with weak ass friends for help. Its easier for one strong guy to do it himself than to use two feeble bodies for help. They just make your job harder.

Pick it up from the underneath in the middle & walk over to the scout & slide it awn, Really is no problem.

That's the same I way I do it, however I can't do it since I put 38's on it, and a new family cage...:)

I've used my Cherry Picker to put the hardtop on before..

But that was back when the Cherry picker would lift it up high enough to drive under.. that's not the case now.

Fortunately (??) the hardtop no longer fits since I smashed the body up, so the soft-top stays on year round for now..

Bikini top for me. No more hardtop. Don't even think it will fit with the cage. Gotta figure out how to get rid of my old top though.... It is hanging in the garage, but it is going to go bye bye.

What kind of shape is it in? Mine has cancer and I'm looking for another.

It has some small rust holes, but only along the bottom edges. Glass is all intact. Liftgate works and latches.

It's not perfect, but it is just hanging there.

Come by and take a look. Just give me a ring first. Be happy to let you have it in exchange for some part to be named in the future... ;)

BTW, it is painted black right now, and the bolt holes that go up through the windshield into the leading edge of the top are buggered up.

So, its not perfect, but a little work will get you a long ways with it.

Bolt holes are messed up? I thought "slopped out" was a factory option, because mine came that way. :D

How many are we talkin' here? Just a couple would make it better than mine. Several would be about the same. Originally posted by Hooper
BTW, it is painted black right now Black is the color I have right now. So if the rust is minimal enough I'd be happy to take it off your hands for a "part to be named later". Hey, I've got a factory Scout am/fm 8-track that would make you the envy of the block. :p ;)
