I am having problems assesing the value of my Winchester Model 54 .270 stainless steel barrell. My gun value book only lists it having a 5 round mag, mine is a single shot bolt action with no mag. I am insuring my collection and want to be able to prove what they are worth, any advice. I am using my new copy of Blue Book of Gun Values

Or does anybody know a reputable shop to get a gun appraised near Sacramento?

I had the 54 in 22 hornet and sold it for $500 10 yrs ago and it was just in good condition.
