Got a 86 chevy truck w/ a 383 stroker and i was thinkin bout runnin the exhaust strate up out of the hood, but i am unsure about how to go about it. Would i flip the headers and then run it strait up from there or what?

get block hugger header then add pipe to the collector flange

you can buy headers from Summit or Jegs to do just what you're wanting. Or do what TRKKLR77 suggested with flipping some block hugger's upsidedown.

for the record, I think a real exhaust is MUCH more appealing, unless youre driving a swamp buggy. with 3 inch wide 6 foot tall tires. and a hull.
