That depends on the government.

I am planning on being there again this year. I see that Tinbenders has the date set. Lets try to fill up more trailers than just the three that Camo Hobie and I hauled into the scrap yard. Were coming 1200 miles each way to get some junk cleaned up....

a few pics from last years cleanup,

That is Friday.. Is that going to be the clean-up and barbecue?

I want to go but have to be back home on Saturday day... Or the wife will sell everything....

Was hoping to cruise down there on Wednesday and come back early Saturday....

The first Werock Western event is the weekend prior, so me and a few buddy's will be at the comp then heading to the hammers Sunday evening, We will be there the whole week prior. I'm sure there be a few other teams/group's doing the same thing.

There is usually a couple groups there most of the week prior to the cleanup, last year it was pretty much just couple of us Canadians and some PNW from www.NW-wheelers.com in one camp and the P.O.R group in another. It was nice having the whole place to ourselves :) until thursday night/Friday.

How long until they are set? Tinbenders.org says the date is April 25th. And there are alot of us that already have the time off work for that weekend. I have to mark time off 90 days before hand.

Any way to change it for the weekend before. My wife won't let me play the weekend of the 25th. Oh well maybe next year...

no we can't switch it. it is set in stone as far as the club is concerned. any changes would be due to permitting issues with the BLM.

club members and family have taken vacation days for that date, that's how committed we are to the date.

again sorry for any delays in posting the trail sign-ups etc, but we need to be permitted first.

thanks,
rob

For background info on the 41st Congressional District:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California's_41st_congressional_district

to contact Jerry Lewis:

San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors:

http://www.co.san-bernardino.ca.us/bos/

Brad Mitzelfelt - 1st District and Dennis Hansberger - 3rd District are the involved districts.

Send them a letter and follow up with a call to their office.

I have spoken with Brad on other issues. He is very supportive of OHV issues.

So one of our club members is working on getting Jerry Lewis out there. If we can even get a represenetive from his office it would be great.

I just want to get the dates straight one more time:
Friday 25th: Registration
Sat 26th: trail run then BBQ
Sun 27th: anything? Free for all?

I will be driving out there and back each time. No camping for me(Might changed dependent on weather)

Oh yea, Im already signed up and dates checked for days off from work.

Someone mentioned WE ROCK -- that has been moved to the April 12 weekend.

Also, I am hoping to get anyone and everyone who is interested in saving the Hammers to be part of a new mailing list I set up (until someone else can take it over). :smokin:

I've posted about it elsewhere, but sign up so we can get connected in more places than just here. We'll use Pirate4x4 (and perhaps the Tin Bender site) to do our planning and discussing like we are right here. But we need a subscribe only list to do some of our internal planning.
