: Front bumper mounts

Well, the weather is going to be nice today and tommorow so I want to prime the frame today, and paint it tommorow.

One last emergency item popped in my head this morning. While the frame is still upside down I want to add some good tabs or something to the front cross member to mount a bumper to. I egged out the stock 2 holes with my previous bumper.

Has anyone mounted some tabs off to the side of the frame or something for a good sturdy mount on the front? I'm not starting on the bumper/M12000 winch mount yet, but I want to be able to lay down some good solid tabs to bolt to later on. Much eaiser to weld big and strong now while upside down.

I enlarged and sleeved the factory holes plus a new one in the center. I used some 7/8" ID DOM. Also sleeved the bumper. Grade 8 bolts in all three.

I thought about tabs on the side also, but went this route because I already had the bumper made. Fixed my sloppy hole problem.

got this tab on, have to drill a hole and it will bolt to the side of the front spring hangar thats on the bumper. using two bolts down thru the frame and 3 straight in thru it. not sure if I'm gonna sleave them yet but probably should as the bumper holds the spring mounts, as well as a 8274 winch.
