I need to get the knuckles cut and rotated to correct the castor on my 81 cj7. Anyone know of a place in the san diego area that could do this kind of work for a fair price. I could do the griding and loosening of the knuckles myself to save some money if need be. I am just not sure how to set up the castor correctly and make sure its the same on both sides. Plus my little flux core welder is probably not up to the task of welding the axles back up.

PS- is a scout II dana 44 front axle.

I am pretty sure they set up my friend Andy's there. Call though to be sure. He was very impressed with their knowledge and quality of work.

Hey didn't want to start another thread, so does anyone know where I can get a housing checked and straightened (if needed)? I'm thinking Dynatrac but I'm also thinking that they would charge double the normal price.

BTW its a Chevy 60.

Anybody heard of the Gear Shop? They quoted me $250-350, I think that's a little high, seeing that my last housing I bought for $250, that was acid dipped and straight.

Call Bob Meyer (619) 440-7701. He's at 1445 Pioneer Way in El Cajon. Just straightened a 60 for me. Very reasonably priced. Just make sure the housing is empty and cleaned.
