Since the aquisition of more advanced machinery (namely our new 4-axis mill) we have been able to expand and improve our entire product line. This includes the release of our own line of high steer arms for the dana 60 as well as the dana 44. We have accomplished a higher quality product line while actually lowering our prices! This is because our production costs are much lower with multiple machines and we are passing the savings onto our customers with hopes to move a higher quantity. Thanks for everyone's support!

Can you explain how your 60 kingpin hi steer arms work without a cap? It looks like the center bolt is adjustable. Can you show bottom side pics so I can understand what is going on? I'd really like to ditch my kingpin springs in favor of a tighter unit.
Thanks!

Humm... good point. I'll snap a few tomorrow and get them posted up. This setup should work well for you.

Checking back for the explanation on the adjuster nut instead of the spring.
Also can you build them with out the angle correction for hydro set ups?

I am also interested in the "adjuster", got any pics to show how this works?

it eliminates the spring, while wear on the bushing is inevitable you must use the adjuster to thighten the preload on the bushing, if its loose you steering will be goofy and wobbly.

Goofy and wobbly? You might hear a noise when you go over a big bump but your tie rod should hold the knuckle in place. I never had bad steering when my 60 springs wore out or broke...

Nate has a bunch of new pics to put up, should see them before the end of tommorows work day. We've added a few small asthetics to the product since those pics were taken originally, and all arms come drill for the 5th hole stud.

Is this pic correct? It seems to me that the drag link would go to the outer most hole and the tie rod would go to the inner most hole. Looking at this pic it sure looks like that's how they would be oriented:

What are the distances from the centerline of the kingpin to the centerline of the holes for the tie rod and drag link? Jeff

I really wanted to know the distances of the holes, so I called and was informed that the first hole is 6 3/8" and the second hole is 8 1/2 inches. Since most pitman arms that I am aware of are about 6 1/2" long (XJ, TJ, MJ, WJ) I wouldn't think one could get full turning radius running from a 6.5" pitman arm to a 8.5" drag link. Are there longer pitman arms out there that fit the Jeep steering boxes? What is everyone that buys these doing? Jeff

You are correct about the picture.
6.35" & 8.55" from kingpin center to bore center. The extra .20" on the outermost hole is so that you can use large housing heims like the XM-12/14 or the XM-14.

Anyone have an answer to this question? (Besides full hydro? :flipoff2:)

i would also like to know the intended orientation of the links. should the draglink mount to the inner hole and the tie rod run from the outermost hole to the only hole on the driver side? so the tie rod wont be parallel to the axle?

The tie rod uses the inner most holes, while the drag lin uses the outer hole.

We had to make a choice, do we make an arm that forces you to run the draglink to the tierod in a y-link style configuration, or do we make it strong and possibly loose a degree or so of tuning radius. We have found that in most applications, you are bouncing off the steering stops long before the box is maxed out. Just because they are on same arcs, does not mean that the same arc length is allowed. By making the DL hole further out, we are increasing mechanical leverage, and using up what steering reach you were wasting before hand by hitting the stops before full travel was realized. Just throwing this out, we have not received one complaint of lowered steering angles.. but if you do experience them, a longer pitman arm would be the solution, while maintaining the strength of a steering arm mounted drag link without stacking rod ends or the like.
Hope this helps.
