Is there anyone planning on making it to this run to Slade / Natural Bridge KY? I will be able to make this, but need to hook up with someone that can get me there with directions or lead the trails.
Anyone have maps on public vs private ground? Is Slade public or private? Any help would be appreciated so I can determine if I need to book my room.
I can do either Thursday only or Wednesday/Thursday if there's not enough down there to run for 2 days. My plans were to drive down Wednesday afternoon and stay in Winchester, KY for a Thursday trail ride.
Syko sounds like he is out due to a blown R&P

Anyone?
I PM you. All the guys but one may have backed out in my group. I should know tonight if Russ is going or not. If so I'll ride.

We'll see, I think my front end is going to blow up on me at Mission Impossible and I'm flat ass broke. So I'm leaning more towards not making it. I hope I can swing it though.

Well then I think I'm going to be going myself. So I think I will just change the days to Thursday - Travel day, Friday Wheeling day. It will fit my schedule a little better.
I'll be driving a 97 Green TJ w/35's and my wife as a passenger.

I'm willing to try any trails down there. I'm equiped with 35's as well. I'm going to try and get in touch with some other people down in the area that may be able to show me around.
Have several leads from James Leary about guys that may be interested in being there.
My plan is to get into town Thursday and wheel on Friday.

If you are staying in Winchester, go to the Ranger's office. You can get them to give you a map and to mark all the trails in the Forest Service. I would have liked to meet you guys and wheeled with you. I just found the post today and there is no way I can get off work after doing EROCC (was a volunteer) last weekend. Plus the t-case is out of the Jeep. PLEASE make sure you stay off trails marked private property. We are losing access to the trails we can ride on that are private property. I will send out an email and try to find somebody that might want to ride with you guys on Friday. If I do, will post it on this thread.

Field report from the trip:
1) No breakage
2) Relatively easy trails (ran most of them frontward and backwards)
3) Quiet and peaceful, a very nice trip
So, since I planned for the time off anyway, my wife and I went ourselves. If anyone ever goes there, I would give 2 thumbs up to the Holiday Inn Express at I-64 exit 94. Their regular rooms were $57 up to the king size room with Jacuzzi tub for $99 (bet ya can't guess which one I chose).
Anyway, I was a little worried about finding the trail entrance because there weren't any signs. But as is turned out, it was relatively easy to find. I've now got GPS coords if anyone needs them.
There was a lot of gravel road before actually getting to the rocks, but it was a nice drive through the woods. The natural bridges are really cool. Just a few feet of the trail and you could head straight down for a couple hundred feet (ouch).
The 4 tired hamsters tackled everything that they saw. I only slipped a tire one time when my fat pig was stuck on a rock (only once though). My wife was a little leery about some of the climbing, so she spotted and took pictures with the 35mm camera while I ran each obstacle. Then so she didn't feel left out, I backed down each obstacle (a couple at a time) and let her get in to enjoy the ride too.
I know that we probably missed a bunch of other good stuff, but we were happy to do the trails we did, ate a nice lunch, and donated blood to the horseflys. It was also the maiden voyage as a trailer queen (which was very successful).
I've got more pictures to come later after we develop them. These are a few digitals I took.
