Take a look at the setup in the red Jeep in this post.

It looks pretty stout and does seem to flex real well.
What are the drawbacks?

Is that whole top sub-frame solid mounted to the frame and the diff just pivots on it? Or does that large top sub-frame drop away from the frame?
I can't tell from the pics.

No I dont think that the subframe moves. It looks like the diff just pivots on that frame.

Then my vote goes to ........ :rainbow:
Attaching your axle solidly to the frame with a pivot point  Don't hit any bumps hard or it'll be a rough ride. Don't expect any give when throttling over rocks.
If that subframes in a fixed position he's nuts.

I'm with Big Dude, if the subframe is solidly on the frame, whats the point?

It looks like the subframe (for lack of a better term) does pivot off the frame allowing suspension movement besides just side to side. Look at the pics and you can see where he routed the exhaust up and over the subframe, no reason for that if it didnt move. Probably mounted just like the top of a triangulated 4 link. Overall it doesnt look to bad, different, fairly effective, still need some more pics tho to confirm how stuff is mounted.

I was told the more flex the better.....
Is a vehicle even more top heavy if you have alot of flex? I am still working on my truck and trying to get it legal in NJ. for inspection I have to drive the drivers side up a ramp and onto a wall. Then the truck will be weighed and if a certain % of weight shifts then you fail..... so if you have alot of flex and you get both drivers side wheels say 2-4 feet onto a wall... will the truck seem more top heavier than if you stuck with a not so flex truck?
