I'm trying to dig up a boneyard dana 300 in northern IL. All the yahoos out here are telling me $350 plus a core. I've been telling them to "sit on it."
What are you guys paying for dana 300's in the yards elsewhere?
I managed to find one that's missing the input shaft, input bearing/seal retainer, but the dude still wants $100 for it.
Clue me in as to what I should be looking at paying for one of these.

150-400 for good ones, try on ebay, they are always on there for 175 ish! jimMy

I talked to a yard in WI a month or so ago and they quoted me $150. (sorry, I forget the name right now.)
they also said about a grand to my door for the 300 & 4:1 installed. I asked out of curiousity.
I've asked a couple of friends and they think that both prices are fair.

I usually sell them on this board for $275-300 all the time. Always sold them locally here in Sacramento.

I bought mine from the board here for $125.00+shipping total was about $200.00
