So where EXACTLY is this place. I am looking at my map program and I assume that it is west of Truckee off of I-80. Is it north or south of I-80? Is it east or west of Donner Lake? What off-ramp? How far off of I-80?

Alright, I found it. :D
My map program routes my up hwy 395 and then turning West on hwy 28 just south of Carson NV. wich takes me around the North shore of Tahoe. Looks like this hwy turns into hwy 267 and dumps me out on I-80 in Truckee.
My question is. Would it be easier on my tow rig (towing 33ft trailer) if I went the extra 30 miles and stayed on hwy395 all the way up to Reno and then went West on I-80.
