Started the motor yesterday in the unit. And the hydro assist is having a few issues. It turns left alright, but it doesnt want to turn right at all. It will go a little ways, then quit. It is burping fluid out of the top of the pump when I turn it off. I am thinking I probably have some lines backwards.:shaking: But I can't find the simplest diaghram anywhere. so 2 questions....

Its a CJ-7 Power steering box. There are two ports, One is bigger then the other. Which one of these ports is high pressure from the pump?

Second question...billavistas tech article sais that the top port on a saginaw tapped box is high pressure when turning steering wheel to the left. is this true?

Follow the hose back to your pump. The one that comes from the bottom center is the high pressure.

I know which hose is high pressure. But what I don't know for sure, is if I have them in the right port on the box. and they are two different sizes, so I cant just swap them. I just need to know if the smaller one, or bigger one is high pressure. thanks.

and to your first comment, yes, I do have a cooler. And when I had the lines in billa vistas port, the ram wouldn't do a thing. I swapped them, and it turned left. thanks.
