Whats up guys. Double M Films will be filming one more trip for Honkies 2 this holiday weekend. We will be at the Hammers and the Buttes from Tuesday till Sunday. Cant wait to see you guys out there. Ill be the tall skinny guy riding on the back of rigs. Feel free to say hello. If you want to do some getting it for the camera let me know who you are. They call me Beetle's.:smokin:

Yeah, myself and a few other Sonora Posse rigs will be there wheeling this week. A lot of stupid things were blown up on here years ago, lets get over it and have a great time this Thanksgiving. I think that if you met us, you might have a different opinion.

Ps, that is an invite to introduce yourself and squash whatever beef you do or don't have over a beer.

It is a fun trail. I had the best time watching Super Sammy mash on 31's. I think the ledge where we left you guys at the plaque is taller than his wheelbase is long:laughing:

The place was a ghost town by Sunday night. Unfortunatly sometime during the night someone stole a quad from the camp next to ours. They were really cool people that we shared beers with a few times over the weekend. Someone came into their camp and cut their locked cable that held all their bikes together and rolled an '06 quad away.

Ther was only maybe 3 -4 camps on the lakebed by Sunday night so no one saw or heard a thing. We left to go home Monday morning while they waited for the sheriff.

I know I was really lax how I left my shit out and most everyone is the same, but I'm gunna try and lock stuff up better from now on.

Yeah, you can see where they rolled it about 100 yards away and loaded it into a smaller pickup with bald tires. Worst part was he had no insurance for it

All of us feel the same, and I feel real dumb, everytime I wake up hung over and look out side to see my steering wheel still on and nothing else done.:homer: Good news for me is usually around 2-4am I am so cold or have to piss so bad that I am already awake And even hammered, I sleep pretty light. So maybe, just maybe, I'll get to play COP again!:smokin:

Thieves better be real careful, and stick to quads. Cause wheelers woke up still half drunk, in the middle of the night, are gun toting, shoot ta kill, tempermental SOB's! Plus I know I have enough buddies to help me dig a hole even on the lake bed. And the headlines never read "Jeep found, but theif still missing", if ya know what I mean!:laughing:

It's a sad deal, for about a decade I have left the keys in the tow rig and the crawler for a simple reason. If you need it take it, whether it be for a brother or for my own sorry ass. I would sure like to see things back the way they were. It was our lakebed, lets throw down the effort to reclaim it. If not, I will not change however ya better call out real loud what it's all about before ya hit the start button, know what I mean. :evil: :evil:

My advice, buy a dog! Mine is useless, but can hear a squirrel fart at a 100 yards, plus he knows when people are in his area. Then he grumbles, which wakes me, and forces me to go see what he is grumbling at. And if thieves sound anything like a UPS truck, their done for.

I wasn't sleeping 50 yards from the quad they stole, and I was awake off and on all night. I didn't hear a damn thing. that sucks.:mad3:

That sucks. One thing I love about this community is that most will help anyone. The SOBs that stole that quad are obviously not part of the community but I bet the community would help dispose of the problem. I always lock my shit up right next to my trailer and I am a light sleeper. We usually box everything in the camp with all the rigs so they wouldn't get a quad out.

More than likely locals. They know it's a big weekend with plenty of good pickings and enough people/confusion going on to just blend in.

This is the first time I've heard of this happening on the lakebed, sucks to have to start locking all my shit up all the time:(

Yup, definately had to be locals. I know ive been approached in the lake bed before by some tweeked out kids looking for beer, I know landers has its fair share of tweekers, and theifs. I usually lock my quad up when I bring it out there with me, guess I will have to start locking up everything else too. :mad3:

Does anybody know what time period the quad went missing?

Theft is a growing problem everywhere. last week end at Dumont there were 2 quads and a rhino that got ripped off.
so its a sad fact of life nowdays if you want to keep your shit lock it up

I was in Dumont last weekend. I sure am glad it wasn't my quad that got ripped off. At the same time I wish the thief got caught and had his ass handed to him. I hate to hear about people's shit getting stolen. We all work hard to enjoy our hobby/sport.
