What, other than the physical differences, does the different degree make on the bits? I'm trying to decide what to buy.

One is for mild steel, the other for stainless steel. Each one only works best for what it was intented. If you want to drill SS, get the drill for SS if you want to drill mild steel, get the other one.

Ok well that helped a little, which angle degree bit is for the appropriate material. I also would like to know...

Thanks, JOSH

135° bits reduce thrust and when combined with a split point reduce the tendency of the drill point to "walk."

I bought a set at HF that has a 135° bits. I am looking at a drill doctor and was looking at the 350. It only does 118° points. I'm confused and not sure if I have the right bits or need to return them and get the other ones?

Get the 700 model drill doctor. It does both 118 and 135 and it will split tips. Great little machines.

118 deg points are all-purpose drills. For soft metal, wood , plastic.
135 deg points are to cut metal. They are self-centering and don't walk or slide.
I prefer the 135 deg drills for the "don't walk" feature.
