What are the smog legalities of running one of these fuel cells on a street driven vehicle?

I would think that as long as you had all the lines hooked up like stock it would be ok. Fuel line, return lines, evap canister, proper gas cap, etc. What rig are you thinking of running it in?

FJ 40, I was worried about the fact that the last time I smogged they tested my gas cap. It would seem that your assumption would be correct but we are talking about CA smog laws. <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">

Should be ok. They check the cap to make sure it seals properly. Also, they check for the fill pipe restrictor in vehicles that require unleaded fuel. Your Cruiser doesn't have one of those. You gonna run the tank inside the back of the cruiser?

They Are not Legal In Cal
they need to be ARB Approved they Will look at this!!

I had to remove my Jaz Fuel Cell After going to the Smog Shop!

I did A write up on this a while back,,,
Because If they Allow the tanks They Would be Liable If You where to Get Injured In Accident if It was Fuel related ! this is what I had to Deal With!

if it Is a After Market tank It Does Not Mater what Year the vehicle is it resides in the Year the tank Was Built!!!

so it would Need fuel restrictor ???

Kinda gay I think!!!!!!

So are fuel cells legal anywhere? I might have to get one to run in my YJ since the stock one will be in the way.
