I have a 40 spline D60 spool and I was curious if the strange requires a special axle like the Mark Williams ones? Anyone run one of these? What did you pay for axles.

i am pretty sure that it is a custom only set up. i have never heard of anything more than a 35 spline factory axle. mike

i meant more than 35 spline in a factory dana 60

Im running mark williams spool and shafts 40 spline . The shafts were 495.00 but dutchman can make 40 spline that will math the pitch of your strange spool fro 395.00 and both uses standard carrier bearings <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Thanks Techguru73. The last time I posted you that q on a post you submitted and you mentioned the MW axles were diff. So why didnt you go with the strange setup and save 100 bucks on axles?

Just look in the end of the spool and that will tell you. Are the splines in the middle of the spool or are they out at the end.

I just prefer the quaility of MW

That is funny I never have had a problem with Mark Williams before and the products are top notch. What was the cost of that 46 Spline Sandy Cone setup?

ok maybe he is not a dick he just didn't wanna talk to me on the phone. i called him and when i told him it was for a rock crawler he acted like "oh one of you " and couldn't wait to get off the phone with me.

fyi the 46 spline stuff is overkill for rock crawling it is what they use in desert off road trucks, but sandy also builds 40 spline stuff give him a call 805-238-2663

Try Moser www.moserengineering.com (http://www.moserengineering.com) my 35 splined cost me $427 to the door I know they make 40 splined stuff but I am unsure of the cost and they give you a 10 year replacement if you ever find a way to break one.
