I saw that they are coming out with a new crawler box similar to
the klune v. It has a 1.75 reduction and is only 4" long! I have
been waiting for a set up like this for awhile. If its priced right I
plan to put it in front of my 300 with the 32 spline output. Anyone
know the cost on this new set up??

No prices yet... While the 1.75 reduction is good in a 4 inch box, Advance Adapters is coming out with their own... it's got a 3.44 reduction and that's in a 5 inch box... Pricing will determine which is the better deal... But i'd have to say the AA one is...

For my set up the 1.75 will be just about right on. With the 300's
2.62 and the box of 1.75 this gives me a 4.58 reduction. That is
about all you want behind a auto/tight verter/and stout big block.
This will give me a choice of either 29 to 1 or 52 to 1. This way I
can haul ass in snow and sand or just creep!

are you talkin 4wd HI?? cuz that ain't very low... Crawl ratio is:

1st Gear x T-case x Axle gear x 1.75 (for the box)...

so i have:

3.93 x 2.72 x 4.56 x 1.75 = 85:1... and it's 125:1 if i go with a 4.0:1 conversion...

and it's even lower if i swap out the Tera unit for the AA one...

I am looking at the AA for SM420 to 'cruiser case. I can either keep my 5.38's and get 270.2:1 or switch to 4.10 and only get 205.9:1 with everything in LO :smokin: :smokin:

im gonna be running 3.93x4.3x5.38 and xtra 1.75 might be nice to have on hand.....

52 to 1 with an auto is more than enough. I will probably have to
go to a manuel valve body so I can start in 2nd if need be. Thats
like 104 to 1 with the multiplication of the converter. Now put that
behind a 500 cid motor and you have plenty of reduction.
