Ok so i'm finishing up the back of the heep and am wondering what i am going to use for storage. Parts, tools, etc.

I'm used to the good old ammo box standby but was thinking along the lines of the "pelican" brand waterproof boxes. But they are $$$$$$$$$$$.

Whatever i use has to be waterproof as i dont want my tools all rusty.

So............... what are you useing?

nate.

I'm using good ol' ammo boxes

Pelican would be :smokin: , but expensive as you said.

Rubermaid actually has some pretty rugged stuff nowadays too.

Are you thinking permanent mount, or strap in, or pinned down or??

Water proof wont keep your tools from getting rusty since any moisture that does get in cant get out. Check around and get some dessicant packs for what ever sealed container you end up using, to absorb moisture.

Permanent mount.
New Baby (5 months) will be mounted in back along with everything. I want NO CHANCE of stuff flying around in a worst case scenario.

good old water proof amo boxes:D I have thought about mounting one of those lockable rocket boxes in the back and then putting my individual amo boxes in it, it would be strong, secure, water proof, and safe as long as you fastened it well to the floor of the jeep.

There are other options, but IMHO these just plain fit a Jeep better than anything else I have seen, look good, and still alow passenger room...
