Well thought I would share some pictures, today finally got some progress on the new shop. This will be steel construction. Here are the first few pictures.

Here is the area the shop will be built on.

Heres the accros the slope view, has almost a 10' fall by estimation across the pad area.

Caterpillar 943 Making short work of the trees.

The pile of trees, dont worry I wish I didn't have to knock out so many trees but I can't have trees in a position to come down on the shop.

The start of the cut and fill. Pad size will be 5400'sq

what about the shrimps on the barbie?:D

was there any compaction to the fill?

bubs
11-25-2007, 09:40 PM
was there any compaction to the fill?

compaction was "track rolled" every 6 inches, basicly he just rolled over it back and forth with the machine to help bed it in. This is a very common practice for both shed/shops and houses over here.

Yesterday I hired a kanga with a trencher and put my conduit in for my power and network/phone. There is also some 1" high pressure water pipe buried in the ground so eventually i can pump water from this shed up to the love shack. Tommorow I will be buying my cable and some other bits to run the power.

Out here all our power is 240V, standard is 10amp - which I have 7 double outlets, welders/plasma's unless 3 phase are on 15 amp outlets which I have 2 singles.
