Never new they existed, but then again I just found out what a scout 80 was last year:D

Today I saw one driving down the 580 through Dublin.

I thought it was just a pretty damn nice stock scout but then I noticed the lack of a driver and only a passenger.

Were these used as mail trucks possibly?

What can you guys tell me about these?
I'm just curious.

I have a 1970 800a RHD and had a 1980 Scout 2 RHD, they are the same as a a LHD ones with just everything on the right side, the dashs, steering boxs, clutch linkages, heater boxs, are about the only thing different. And both of mine where originally used to deliever mail, the 70 was retired in 85, and the 80 was retired in 97.

Anything Scout was restoring a RHD Scout II a few Months back too. It also was used for US Mail.
