I am thinking about getting one of these for my Dad for Christmas. Any suggestions? I was thinking about this one. It won't see much use, maybe 2-3 times a year maybe, and I'd like to spend around 100 bucks.

Is two quarts enough? Typically we're bleeding drum/drum systems or disc/drum systems on our International trucks. The master cylinders are anything special, but I am worried about capacity. Do any of you with the two quart units wish you had a 4?
Any suggestions welcome.

I was thinking of buying the same thing for myself. 2 quarts should be plenty to bleed out a brake system on an IH.

They aren't that useful unless you absolutely can't find anyone to help you for 5 minutes. It takes longer to get it out of the box and set it up than to bleed the brakes using two people and one high pressure leak spraying brake fluid over your paint job can ruin your day. We had one in the 6 bay shop I used to work in and it never got used because it was faster and easier to get someone to help bleed them.

I have one. It revolutionized my brake bleeding. It saves me untold amounts of time. I recently got a vacuum bleeder and I much prefer my Motive pressure bleeder.

well i never have help so my motive gets put to good use. pretty easy to use once you get the hang for setting it up.
x4. If you can find a second person it's way faster. If you're alone this product is worth the money.
No help on the issue of capacity.

I have one and like it - mainly from not always being able to get a second person to help out. It can be a bit of a pain to set everything up, but I usually end up doing a flush on all vehicles at once.

I love mine because I'm usually bleeding by myself.
Kinda lame that they jacked the price way up though. I paid about half what they charge now. You could build your own cheaper, but I'm not sure its worth the hassle.
Also, you can fit a lot more than 2 quarts in there if you want, but it makes the air space smaller so you might have to stop and pump up the pressure again if you fill it up high and then drain a lot of fluid out.

Thanks for all the opinions, and I think I am going to pull the trigger on it. While most of the time Dad and I are working together, with my crazy work schedule, I can really see a need for this to turn into a one person job. I think it will see plenty of use in our garage.
