I am installing a military hummer body on a burban frame and in search of a title from a wrecked H1 or something of that nature so I can title my rig.In Va. it is a lot of red tape to cut through to get a title for this because it is a military vehicle..Can someone PLEASE point me in the right direction!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated cush8@wwlnk.net

It would probably be easier to just use the VIN from the suburban donor vehicle. Most projects and kit cars usually use that, makes it easier to insure and title then using an H1 VIN. The absolute cheapest totaled H1 I've seen recently was 11,000$, and that was half burnt to a crisp.
There was a guy on craigslist a month ago selling the frame and title for a wrecked h2 for fairly cheap. I think he was somewhere in arizona. You can try searching there.

Use the VIN and title from the frame. Like he said. Why even try to find a hummer title?

Save your suburban VIN and papers and register it as a suburban. Can we see any picks of the build.

I have the same vehicle-urban gorilla on a 'burban frame. I used the suburban title in both NY and VA. might be more difficult if you plan on getting full insurance coverage.
VA is also an easy state to get a reconstructed title. My 1992 HMMWV with 1998 A2 drivetrain has a reconstructed VA title-the vin starts with an R and is 7 digits long-isnured through progressive.
