well i have a cherokee for a daily driver and somehow i managed to bottom out the front suspension enough to pinch my tranney cooler lines that and get the end of the steering stablizer hit my oil pan(part where it bolts to the drag link?), not badly but a small dent none the less. i looked at a cherokee that was at my work today and i could see where the oil pan was peeled back a bit from the passenger side upper controllarm bracket hitting it, basically the same thing mine did but not as severe. but ya is that normal for xjs? normal in that it happens stock? my bumpstops arnt missing or chewed up or anything and even hade they been missing i would still expect stuff to clear or not hit even with metal to metal bottoming out?
maby i abuse my shit but i would still expect something like that to not happen unless some part of the suspension broke and let the axle cycle further than stock.

Ah, I just had to give you alittle shit. From the sounds of it this seems to be semi common.

even jumping it should not have done anything, like you should be able to fully bottom out a car without pinching or crushing anythign assuming the suspension does not break. i mean i aint no genius but ya i wont build something that crushes a pretty importiant part with in the normal range of motion for the suspension. i dunno jeep engineers at thier finest i guess.
