my truck will run just fine when you start it, but when you go to take off and let he clutch out it will just fall on its face then after you get going a bit it will be ok again.. if you slow down to turn and give it some gas it will kinda fall on it face again.. i have allready checked or replaced the cap, rotor, plugs... would this be a timing issue? carb issue? lmk

Right front of the carb on top, when you open the throttle you should see a steady stream of fuel shooting down the carb. Try this with the engine off. If the Accelerator pump is not working properly, the engine will stumble as you open the throttle. The fact that you are asking me where the pump is scares me. This is a guess based on very limited info that you posted. I would suggest hitting up one of your buddies that knows about motors.:homer:

Badburn has a good point, and it could very well be the accelerator pump, especially if this is a new carb/setup.Fuel pump could also be going out. Also check all vacuum lines. I have the same carb and had the same issues and it turned out that my fuel pump wiring at the oil pressure sending unit was bad. I am using an electric fuel pump though. I'd be happy to help further if I can.
