I recently put a tilt column in my 64 80 everything is hooked up and seem to work fine except one minor problem. I need an idea on how to stiffen up the colomn so that it doesn't move side to side when the wheel is turned. This is a GM coloumn hooked to a sagina box.

Is the column moving, or is the wheel moving in the column?

The entire column is moving not the wheel. I just can't seem to figure a good way to brace the shaft.

I had thought about the clamp idea, but want something that doesn't look cobbled together. I figured someone had to have an idea since the stock column will not bolt to the sagina box. I know this isn't a hard core question, but I need to do this to finish the full cross over steering conversion.

Weird, my GM colum doesn't move much at all. I will probably brace it near the bottom just in case though.
