: zj front axle question

I have not managed to put any bigger axles under my yj yet os I have just been building my stock ones up as best as I can. I have a 95 yj and so far I have got rid of my disconects and replaced it with the warn one piece axle with the 297 uj's and I have the locking axle hubs.
Any way I would like to get some spare axles and last night I was looking at my wifes 96 zj. She don't take that anywhere but the mall and work and I was looking at her axles last night and I saw that her front axle does not have the disco's either so I was wondering if I can steal her axles and put some of my older spare yj axles in it's place. I figure she locks hers in about 3 times a winter so the 260's ought to be ok for her.
Any way my rambling post just wants to know if the parts are interchangable.

That'd probably work, I've used YJ axles as spares on XJ's actually the short side. That's not a bad idea! Go for it man, the 260's are fine on a ZJ that doesn't see dirt

thanks canonball thats what I thought. I know I can't use the disconect side but I figured one spare axle was better than nothing. I am wonderiing if she would miss the passenger side if I yanked it too and shoved a rag in the hole
