found a dana 70 front with passenger side drop.... would dana 60 parts fit in a dana 70? or would it be cheaper to just build a dana 60? only wants 250 bucks for the housing.

First of all, this is not chevy tech.

2nd, I wouldn't buy it. He says in the description that it doesnt have the bearing caps, not to mention it's just a fucking D70. If you want to custom make a D70 front, buy a cheap rear and then add the expensive Dedenbear shit.

Pic shows the bearing caps. But it's a closed knuckle pile of scrap. If it was open then it would be different. Not worth the effort to make it open, when the only benefit would be a bigger ring gear and less ground clearance. I can get one of these fronts too, thought about just for the cool factor, but that's far as it went....
