Looking for a replacement to my POS Harbor Freight cut-off saw, and I also need a portaband for those occaisional jobs where I don't want to use a saws-all. Realisticly it only has to hold me over untill I get my shop (6-9 months) then I'll have the space to run a big bandsaw. The Grizzly looks nice becuse it has a base, so it should be a nice replacement for my cut-off, and it's only $139 which saves me a lot of money over buying the Milwakee. The one thing I cant tell is if the vise swivles for mitter cuts, and if it's worth a crap, or should I just buy a cheap cut-off saw from Lowes and a decent portaband?

i have not used that machine buy I have never been impressed with the handheld tools for Grizzly...

I have however used a Dewalt that a buddy had and it was great. he and I were hitting the pawn shops and he got it for 150 or 175 I think. He uses the shit out of it but I have never been on a project and thought, Damn I wish I had that tool...
