since its older than 25yrs, i can still register the truck without a title...correct?

I know that if its 25yrs or older with a title, it doesn't have to pass emissions(i know that certain counties allow this)...but im not sure about it being registered without a title if its 25 yrs or older.

Believe in Alabama if it is a 1975 or newer, it has to have a title.

I registered my 70 dodge truck from texas in GA. I had to have the VIN inspected and signed off by an officer. I then took the form and my bill of sale to the DMV and they let me buy tags. The lady told me it wouldn't be that hard if it had been previously registered in GA Most the older vehicles around here aren't registered with a title. Kevin

with my 82 toyota all they wanted was the bill of sale... the didn't ask anything about emissions but thats bulloch county, im ot sure about were your from

In Georgia you can register older trucks with bill of sale, BUT the name of the seller will be verified against the last registered owners name.

Maybe they don't check every time but it has happened to me. Make sure you ask the seller if they were the last REGISTERED owner or you could get hosed.
