What would have a 58-60 inch wide, wheel mounting to wheel mounting, axle in it stock?

i have a jeep project that i'm doing, it's a 1957 Willys Wagon, and i'm trying to keep the tires inside the fenders

look for and isuzu rodeo 1993-1995. they have disk brakes and take standard d44 internals. i have one for sale that is 57.5" WMS to WMS. all cleand up, new axle bearings, and ready for gears.:D

I forgot to say, I'm looking for a front axle, i have several different rear ends that i can get. I'm hoping to find a passenger side drop, disk brakes, and have it be a dana 44

International scout II is 58 if I remember right. Matched up just right to an early bronco 44 front. Ended up at 72" outside of tire to outside of tire with standard backspacing (3.75-4") and 12.5 wide tires.

Again, Scout II, but its low pinion and you'll have to cut and turn for a decent pinion angle and castor since its set at 0 deg castor from the factory.

I believe there were possibly some differences in pinion bearings as well as using the "thick" gears on the Isuzu D44 instead of the standard stuff that the older Scout, GM, Jeep, etc. D44s used. Not a big deal, but it could cause problems down the road when looking for parts.

As far as a front steering D44 goes, a Scout or Wagoneer axle is probably going to be your best bet. I'm not sure on the Scout's width, but a Wagoneer D44 is going to be approximately 60 or 61" wide. It is a little bit wider than what you're looking for but still close.

Another possibility would be a Toyota front axle but I believe that they are a bit narrower (~55"?) than you are looking for and it is not a D44.
