I see a few of you out there are running the flipped Dana 300, how are they holding up? I looked through all the treads the search came up with and I see there's been a lot of talk about these, but not much in the way of reports on how they are working. If nobody's bitchin' about them breaking I'm guessing they work okay. I am concerned with oiling, seem like it was designed to go one way, and now you're running it upside down, do the lower (now upper) bearings get enough oil? I'm thinking of slapping one behind my SM420, but the only posts about SM420's and D300's are pass side diff applications. I'm wondering how far I will be able to clock it before the shifter housing hits the trans tower, no buldge to deal with on the driver's side, so that should be the only hangup.

Really, any body got some 3000 mile reports? Anything? What are your impressions on the quality of the kit?

I have been running the Flip Kit for over a year now with no problems at all. I drive my Jeep just about everyday so it gets alot of on-road as well as offroad miles on it. The T-case is holding up great. I am getting ready to order my 4to1 kit for it in the next couple of months. Hope this helps.

I think I'm somewhere around 1000 miles on mine with the tera low. Ran really really hot while the new gears were breakin in, changed oil after 500 miles, to redline and is way cooler and no problems at all. It's oiling enough that oil is coming out the breather hose, and wanting to leak out the shift rail seals.

A freind of mine who is running the kit had a problem with his blowing out the vent tube, we rerouted it so it went up from the t-case instead of up then down then back up. That has fixed his problem. I beleive with a low spot in the line it collects fluid then when you have a pressure build up in the T-case it blows it out. Hope this helps.

2qts.
I'll have to check and see if it only goes up. I relocated my vent to the middle of the inspection cover for body clearance issues.
Thanks for the tip.
