That's cool, I just knew he had his homebrew lower and the upper from the turkey day sale, figured he might still need an LPK. I guess now that he has the CNC all worked out if he wants to start on the next one he could. :D

Thanks! Yeah, Pete already sent me pretty much all the AR-10-specific lower parts that I actually need, but I do kinda still have a substantial chunk of aluminum to make another or two out of, once I get an upper to verify fit/function with.

I'll need to make another not-screwed-up-magwell lower still too, since I did manage to screw up my one good-till-then lower in cutting the magwell, but I'm pretty confident it'll be functional, just not quite right. I just want to check it with an upper before I go to town on iteration three and find that I missed something dumb.

Oh, and to answer a now-old question... no, my wife didn't kill me when she found out I was making an AR-10. :)

Make a lower that takes G3 mags.

Make a lower that takes G3 mags.

If he makes a lower that accepts FAL or G3 mags he better go ahead and get his SOT and start selling them. I'll take one or two myself. :D

Don't look now, but AR-10 uppers are on sale again (different ones this time, still damn cheap though).

And no, I don't work for or have any affiliation with the company.

Apparently I picked about the right time of year to need AR10 parts...

I know absolutely nothing about G3's or G3 magazines; I think I read somewhere that the FAL magazine has been tried in some rifles using the AR operation style, but that they didn't work well with the rotating bolt.
