Hey..look at me with a tech question! The only difference I was able to see was the 180 has 4 output settings and the 187 has 7 settings. I'm sure I am missing something else, but most of it makes no sense to me so it might be easy for me to skip over something important. Is the 187 an updated version of the 180? :roxy:

i'm pretty sure teh 187 has a bit more output than the 180, but its basically the newer model.

The 187 is an updated model the only real difference is that the 187 has the 7 power outputs. Personally i like my 187, but if i had to do it again i would get a welder with infinite adjustments as i like them much better.

I have a 180 I like it but it is a pain sometimes because it only has 4 outputs. It is really hard for people to get use to. I would perfer a miller.

There are a few other things that are different between the two that only tech head and electrical nerds can understand.

The 187 is hands down the better welder of the two.
