How hot does your electric fuel pump get? New holley pump on pro jection set at 15 PSI. After about 10 min at idle the thing is almost too hot to touch. Runs full time. Only time the computer turns it off is after prime just before start.
Brand new pump I don't want to waste it.

they do get hot don't know how hot though. the best pumps to use are the in tanks. take longer to replace depending on application and how smart you are(make a trap door above hole in tank) They run cooler because they are submersed in fuel. But if you only run less than a 1/4 tank more often than 1/2 or above the external is for you.
