I just got my Silver Sport 700 today. Sold a 2006 to upgrade to the Fuel Injected model.
Acceleration is very similar to the 660.
Braking is far superior on the 700.
The noise level is down in the cab from them moving the airbox to under the hood.
I love the sport shocks. I have not put my rear seat and family cage in (tomorrow) but it will be nice to dial up the stiffness to deal with the extra weight.
More tomorrow after I flog it some more.......
Oh yeah, sucks that Yamaha is so lawsuit scared that they still have the thing governed at 41 mph. I hope the programmers come out soon.

I got my Beard seat and 1/2 cage installed today. The Sport shocks set at factory settings are night and day different than the 2006 model (non-sport)
With the kids in the back they corner and jump as good as my old Rhino did empty. I heard these shocks were good, but they really did surprise me.

Get the sport, the more I drive it, the more I realize how good this suspension is set up. It corners SO MUCH better than my old non-Sport model.
The cage was built by my buddy Rusty. He is on Pirate and made a jig for this if anyone wants one. He can make it UPS able if you can weld the tubes together. PM Rustyb for questions. I love it. Took me 30 minutes to install it and that was including the time to drill the 2 holes and modify the top to make it work.
New for 08:
Airbox is under the hood...much quieter in the cockpit.
Reverse is lower. That is a big deal. Really gets out of tight spots better without loading up.
Cupholder/Ebrake-will get better shots of these
4 wheel disc brakes-they dont squeek and the parking brake still has its on center disc.
much improved sealing of the rear wheelwells and dust shield from the bed
Lots of little things that really needed to happen. It is still the same ole Rhino though with some niceties.
I wish it had more top end speed, but I am sure some programmers will be out soon for it.

You forgot to add that the muffler is now attached to the unit and it doesnt rattle around.

Another thing I noticed is the new support for the rear diff. On my 06 I had to buy an aftermarket brace, but the 08 has a nice support on the top. Should help a lot when jumping.
I stuck a 3000# Warn on it today.
Man, I love the way this thing runs and how good it starts and the best if NO squeeky brakes.

Nice website.
Let me know when you hear of a programmer to raise the max RPMs on the 08's. 41 mph sucks.

Nope, I picked up a red '08 last week, basic shocks, steel wheels and black seats. The sport has silver seats, shocks, wheels, a plastic radiator guard, and some type of coating on the plastic body that is supposed to be really scratch resistant. There maybe a couple more things that i noticed on my buddy's sport different from my non sport but can't remember offhand.

Picked up a spec sheet..it only lists the special edition midnight armor and sport as getting the PB shocks..but not the steel blue. Wife likes Camo so looks like no PB shocks for it either..

We have the Blue 700FI 08. Love it. We like it so much better than the 660.

Whats one of these weigh in at? Its not listed on the site. Would you put it in the back of a 3/4 ton truck?:D I need to go pick up a new quad to get out to the duck blind tomorrow morning, and I think I could use one of these.

I got to test a 2008 out last week.
It was much easier to start and idle in cold conditions.
The in cab noise level has been reduced.
Exhaust noise sounded about the same, but the pipe is held in place much better so you won't get the rattle of the pipe against the frame.
Power felt very similar to the Rhino 660. Time will tell how much the 686cc EFI will wake up after exhaust, intake and fuel controller.

The 41mph governor is the only thing I don't like about mine.
BTW, the sport shocks are worth EVERY penny.....I am still trying to bottom them out.

I don't know the offset. I bought them from the dealer I bought the rhino from. He ordered them in for me. I paid $675 for them with lug nuts. I had a in at Parts Unlimited and my dealer said they would be close on price so I bought them from the dealer . They made $75 on them.
