Yep they will work... Any idea what year? If it is pre 76 they are more than likely 2 piece 44 rear, and 30 front.
Does the Cherokee have flares protruding out a couple inches? if so they are Widetrack..

most cherokkees have wide trac axles under them. you'll be able to tell if it is because it will have fenderflares on it. the wide track cherokees have wider axles than waggys. the narrow track cherokees have the same width axles as the waggys. the waggy was only offered with one width axles so they are not distinguished as wide or narrow track. to answer your question yes they will work. i am not sure of the exact year but i am quite certain that it was earlier than 75 that they got rid of the 2 piece d44's. i know a guy who has a set of cherokee axles under his sami right now. i say go for it. use wrangler springs and lengthen your wheelbase while you are at it.

75+ for one piece flanged rear 44, disc front w/internal hubs, and flattop knuckles. That is what is currently under mine. Make sure it came with the Quadratrac (offset rear 44) and you will be good to go. (if you get some 80+, it may have a centered amc 20). I narrowed my front to match the rear, and also to avoid outboarding the springs....BTW, I did the YJs at the same time...Mike
