Looks good. I went with a lower cut door myself. Mine are capped with 1x3 1/8th tubing. Now the doors are stronger than they were stock and will keep any large rock from coming in if it's laid over.

If you cut the doors just above the latch Mechanism. Its all good you weld a small rod onto the latch pointing up it is spring loaded
so when pushed down door opens but as soon as you let off it pops backup no key, no handles, required Il post some better picks tonight

The dog is not mine. It's a friend's. It may look :rainbow: but it loves wheeling and camping.

I have my half-doors about half finished. I went with a straight cut from the upper hinge to the rear tub line. Look very sweet and clean. The cut line runs about 1/8-inch above the stock inner door latch mechanism, so you can still use it. I spent $85 on a custom made brushed stainless steel cap for mine, but like an idiot I screwed up the measurements and they are 2-inches too short (half of 68 is NOT 32!). I am filling mine with the expandable foam. I will finish them just as soon as I get finished working on everyone else Samurai. Hopefully by SOR

I originally had mine up a few inches higher and decided I wanted a little more visibility so I cut it lower. At the rear I should have kept it higher though.

It makes a perfect resting spot for your elbow and forearm:D

really I just like the way it looks over just a straight cut my 02

I would think that lowering it that much would eliminate your knuckles hitting the doors! Seems like a good idea to me!
