Ok, from what i know, there is no way that you can swap any of the parts between these.. but i never have looked into finding out exactally why. from what i can tell, there is an extra flange on the 75-80 knuckle, while there isnt one on the newer one. SO my question is, is it possible to put on 81-84 w-250 spindles, rotors, hubs, and outershaft on the 75-80 1/2 ton knuckle, while keeping the 1/2 ton calliper.. but machine the 75-80 knuckle? And what machining woudl be necessary? It seems like these knuckles have the same spindle pattern, or at least the same as a wagoneer/chevy, but have bolts insted of studs, or what not.

SO anyway, is it possible to put the 81-84 W-250 outers on the 75-80 1/2 ton full time knucke?

thanks. Garrett

P.S. If anyone has any pics of these 2, and can post both pics, it would be awesome. thanks again.

You can swap the complete knuckle between these..The parts you will need are---

1. knuckle
2. spindle
3. rotor
4. hubs
5. outer axle
6. all disposable parts (bearings, seals, u-joints)

The knuckle and u-joints are the same and will bolt right up as will the brake components..

i know they are a straight up swap.. but is there any way i can keep my current knuckle, and upgrade the rest, with machine work? Also, what is the difference between the 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton stuff? is it like the chevys where it is a straight up rotor and what else to make it 8 lug? thanks. Garrett

The knuckles are completely different between the fulltime and part time axles..
As far as difference between 1/2 and 3/4 ton stuff the rotor (3/4 ton bigger)and caliper mount(sets the caliper further out on the 3/4ton) are different..
