They're bolted to a GM Gen III 6.0 lQ9 from supposedly an AWD 2004 Silverado SS Thanks

The transmissions is most likely a 4l85-e and the t-case looks like a NVG-149

Unless I'm told otherwise, I going to disagree with you because I have never seen or heard of a 4L80e or 4L85e with a removable bellhousing.
I would say the transmission could be a 4L60e or 4l65e.

x2 on the transmission.

Don't know what they used for a t-case in those...

Case is full time AWD pretty useless for a 4x4

Definitely a 4l65e/nvg149.

I've completely rebuilt a 4l80e and I can say, with certainty, that is not one. It looks exactly like my takeout 4l60e I gave away other than the ribs and removable bellhousing used on the GENIII motor trannies.

Did you even look at the picture? That is NOT a 4l80/4l85e tranny. :shaking:

That link you gave does not show what the latest 4L85e looks like. Just confirm that 4L85e came in the SS Silverado AWD.

Hammered Scout probably wants to know if the drivetrain combo he is buying or have bought is what the seller says it is.

So I took the Tcase off and saw a round red and silver tag model nvg 149.
The trans output has 27 splines.
So if the guy said it was a 2004 Slverado SS then it probably is a an HO LQ9 mated up to a 4L65E and a AWD nvg 149.
Am I correct to assume this considering I never saw the actual truck?:homer:

While I got your attention. I've got 32 spline input Atlas 4.3 that I want mate to this 4L65E do I just need to convert the input on the Atlas. The adapter on the 4L65E is a round 6 bolt pattern and looks just like the Atlas. Can I tap for VSS in the adapter?
