I don't think anyone has made it yet..we almost got out but there is a 5ft verticle ledge covered with loose dirt that I hit several dozen times about rolling backwards until I cut a brake line and threw the towel in. I'd have to have someone lead me back to it, I don't think I could find it on my own again.

I'll believe it when I see it.

You gotta try Your Turn as well. It's directly next to it. There's some fun lines to be opened up in there.

Go straight instead of turning at the evarts trail head. It's back on the left.

My only try at it was just after a down pour. It had a foot of water running down the hill. I made it to the downed tree and give up. Then had the bright idea of turning around. I ripped a brake line/calipor off. It was a fun/quick ride back down the hill.

Stay on the gravel road going past the trailhead. You have to hang a left a little ways up, but I only know it by sight. No way I could tell you how to get there. Stop off and talk to Frank, he'll either tell you or show you the way.

Would have been a waste of gas anyways. Breakage in our group was 2 driveshafts, rockwell detroit, and another Hi9 ring and pinion. Too nasty for video but we might have some pics later.

I got there early Friday morning and we started off running that rocky wash that exits up at Whitetail Campground. I have no idea if that trail even has a name, I didn't know it existed until Friday.

Next we came back down and ran "Your Turn", it's a great trail with an exit that's nearly impossibe (at least for my junk anyway :D). It started pouring the rain just as we started the trail, by the time we got near the exit you couldn't even stand up. I never had to pull cable until about the last 100 ft, but i had to winch all the way out from there.

Since that trail exits at the bottom of Crawford's Cry we went ahead and ran it, you talk about slick. But we all did fine until we got to the last few feet. We all had to winch the exit.

Next we headed on around toward Lower Damnation. Me and Johnny decided not to run it, but Todd wanted to give it a try. That's when the fun started. There was about 8 inches of water running down LD. Todd broke a hub on one side and a shaft on the other on his 44 on that first real ledge on LD. Then as we were trying to winch him out his steering box stripped out. Frank came along and gave us the idea of using trailer ramps to get him up that last ledge, it worked perfectly. After we got him off of LD and onto trail 13 we winched him backwards down that hill that goes straight down to the Lower Rock Garden. He broke probably about 1:30-2:00, and it was almost 8:00 when we got him on the trailer.

Glad you guys got out of there. The rock garden out to white tail is where I broke my front 60. I took the right line out the exit and it broke so I took the left in 3 wheel and a whole lot of skinny pedal.

Our group was one front 60 joint and shafts, one sheared bolts on driveshaft flandge, and one half door on LD:laughing:

I am gonna have a muffler on it. lol . Should be a badass tow rig . Just a little slow . Still working on ideas to hit 70. Got pics of the 4700?

My thoughts are

- Multifuel , have a decent tank cheap fuel , and offset trip cost.
- Can tow alot.
- Winch truck when something goes wrong.
- Just plain cool.
- I plan to quiet the interior down enough for a radio , and to talk to the passenger.
- Also Air Ride Seats to get rid of the junk military seat that suck balls.

Can you change out the tranny and get an OD tranny? What motor does that have in it? I will post pics in the tow rig section shortly, kinda of a write up on it. Anyhow it was a crew cab Davey's tree chipper truck. Had a chipper dump bed on it that I just removed and scrapped weighed in at 4000lbs by itself! The interior sucks, the color sucks and the 2spd rear is stuck in low I believe. So I have some things to address, however I only paid $3600 for it and the frame is short enough I will only have an 11' bed on it w/o having to shorten the frame.:smokin: So for that kind of money I am going to do some needed upgrades. I am thinking of a large inverter and a roof mount rv type ac unit and some new seats from a local wholesale place. Propane inject it and add an auxillary fuel tank (diesel and also propane). Paint it black (is currently john deere green) tint the windows and add some chrome plus a new tilt flat bed w/ ball hitch for my GSN enclosed trailer. I may add some flames to the truck so it matches the trailer.......

That spot was not where I expected a hi9 to let go again:shaking: I blew a front dshaft in pete's junk as I pulled onto the 2 tanks section of white tail ridge. We found a shaft with the right cv and welded it onto our shaft at franks and we were back in business the next day. Pete gets the kudos for making lil jagger on Monday. It was a pretty good weekend, the weather wasn't as bad as I anticipated and we all had a good time. I think your turn may turn into the lower 2 of harlan, sometimes you'll make it but usually you wont. Oh, and the true exit to your turn is over the 3' ledge on the left hand side at the top not over the dirt shooting straight out the top. I guess we'll see everyone at the work weekend.

Hey had an idea for you. I'll sell you a STaK T-case for your tow rig w/ the .76-1 OD gears in it............ What's your high gear now in the tranny? What size tires (height) and we should be able to calculate your highway speed. Also what RPM your motor is currently running @ 60 MPH

Yeah but the question is is it worth it with 6:72 gears? Seeing as no matter what you change that isn't going to change.

I have been looking , and looking for a truck. Found one was waiting on more pictures , and the guy sold it :( . I started looking at International 4700's which can go faster but not sure what I want. I would like a Flatbed where I can have toolboxes etc , but what kinda trailer then...... I hate bumper pull , and so that begs the question of 5th wheel , goose , or pintle. My buddy says flat bed park rig on it but I feel that would be to high. Thoughts?

I have a 4700 however it only has the DT360 not the DT466 which is what I desired. However I picked mine up off of e-bay and the guy was clueless as to what he had. Most of what I have seen run approx 8 g's and up for a crew cab model. Rear gears can easily be changed to get more mph out of these and propane can also be added easily to boost power and fuel economy. Check out www.thedieselgarage.com for more good info on real tow rigs.

I would want the Dt466 if I went with that. I think a Crew Cab Flatbed would be what I would like. I will check that forum out. Shoot this is amusing another one of many Forums to be joining ;).
