I went in and asked for a price quote on a "Ford firewall style solenoid"
The dude typed in a PART NUMBER and it came right up!!
I couldn't belive it!!
I tried another.
"Starter for a '78 IH, SII, 345.?" SAME DEAL, this time he said the P/N out loud before he typed it in and then pulled it up!!!
Needless to say I'm shocked. I might have found a good one!!!:usa:

It's not always a good thing when they know your part right off of the bat...
Years ago I was trying to replace the exhaust manifold gasket on my Toyota truck...3 of the studs broke off. I went to the dealer to get new ones...After stating that I needed exhaust manifold studs for a 22re, he opened the drawer next to the computer and pulled them out...they don't even get a change to stock them on the shelf--that's how fast they sell...damn yotas:mad:

Glad to hear someone has good luck with the parts stores. I went to Napa for some longer brake lines and was told that they could not get them because it wasn't for that vehicle. I guess I'll have to wait until I get to Great Falls again, atleast there when you have a spliced and modified part in your hand they try to match it up.
