Alright, I've got 4.5 inch Rubicon Express YJ springs SOA on my CJ8. I'm running 39.5 Boggers on 60's, fenders sawzalled for extra clearance :D The front has a MORE shackle reversal and flexes great, the only problem is that the rear flat doesn't. Looked into buggy springs and have read different things from different people and am unsure of that route but would welcome any good/bad experience stories. Revolvers suck and wouldn't make much difference anyway so I'm not even going to think about blowing my hard earned money.

The rear doesn't hardly do a darn thing until the front is about flexed out. Would just taking a leaf out of the pack be worth the trouble or is there a different spring I should look into?

I realize that I am a newbie and therefore it is assumed that I never leave the pavement, but i'm talking about trail experience with this jeep not driving it up a ramp.

I too have a Scrambler and was having tight suspension issues after installing my (SUA) Ford 9' rear. I took it out wheelin and the flex improved however now I am going to try removing the smallest leaf from my rear packs to see what happens. My lift is a 4 year old Pro-Comp 4" that is well used.
Before my axle conversion I didn't have this issue. I hope the leaf removal fixes thing for me.

My friend bought a "Skyjacker" Softride suspension kit 4" (actual 3") and right away he was flexing all over the place on a CJ-7. My suggestion to you would be to either remove a leaf from your packs or go with a spring that has less arch to it, since Less arch = more flexibility that should improve your ride , however you might not clear your meats as well.

Good luck:beer:

On my cj 8 I took 2 of the leaves out of my rear spring on a 4" bds lift it lowerd the springs quit a bit but flexes extreamly well now. One thing to look for is when i did it the springs would actually flex into a negitive arch so i had to build bump stops to fix this problem.

If you shocks are of proper length and everything is fine then obviously the springs are killing you. My vote is for a longer spring 52" or 56". I have 56" springs on the rear of my YJ and love them.
