There getting rid of there inventory for $65 a peice! that $130 for high steer arms. But they are flat arms, and drilled for 5/8 heims. Are they worth it??? I really wanted TRE's but if heims could hold up to road trips(offroad vehicle only driven to trails) and if the draglink wouldnt bind during flex I would get them. Anyone used them before????

Well, my current set of steering heims has held for almost two years with no sign of play. That is many, many road miles, too. I'm going TRE's on my Hi-steer because it just seems safer, and it is DOT approved. Longevity is not an issue with heims, catastrophic failure might be. Liability WILL be if you kill someone on HWY 50 and a good ambulance chaser gets a hold of your sorry ass. They are not street legal.

The Avalanche arms that do accept TRE and are angle cut are only another $30.00 more (98.00). <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

I am running one of Avalanches high steer arms on my D44 with no complaints so far. The $65 price was nice since I don't plan on running the 44 forever. On a ramp, the level arm didnt limit travel and didnt seem to bind the steering on my SOA YJ.

They are not on close out, and are available.
