I was in a salvage yard today and ran across a Scout about to be crushed. I snagged the axles for a friend but thought one of you guys might want the motor.

It appears original. It also appears to be an inline 6 diesel that looks complete.

I'm not that familiar with Scouts but I think this is a scout II as the rear axle was a Dana 44. This is a 2wd and the front is just a tube without a diff. It looks like it could easily be converted to 4wd.

The body is pretty rusty so I wouldn't expect any good parts except the motor and maybe the trans.

I'd expect you could pick up the complete motor for $100-$250 plus shipping. If you need help with the shipping side I may be able to help. No promises though.
