Does anyone have some fairly exact dimensions for where the three studs should be mounted on a D44 flat top knuckle? I've seen dimensions for a D60 steering arm (over on SRC?) but not for a d44 arm.

There's the hole pattern but I have not included the distance from the ball joint because this can vary depending where you measure from and how you machine your knuckle (ex. mimic the GM surface angle or machine surface perpendicular to spindle mounting surface (SMS)). You might choose a different reference point as well. The dashed line is parallel to the SMS.

Oh, that is just beautiful. <IMG SRC="smilies/bounce2.gif" border="0">
That's exactly what I needed. Thanks a ton Eric.

To add to that you can go to the local Chev, GMC dealer and they have them in stock. Less than $20.00 for three in Seattle.

I was mainly after the dimensions on the spacing of the studs on the knuckle. I already have the hardware and a steering arm I'm not entirely satisfied with, so I'm going to attempt to make a new pair in the product design class here at school.

By the way, anyone remember the taper on the cone washers GM uses? 26.5 degrees or so? That's going to be fun to recreate.

btt, I would also like to know the taper on the mounting holes.
