Very cool site.

I have a 94 F-350 4X4 with the 4 speed AOD tranny.

Problem: It slips out of gear at highway speeds, most often in the morning. Ford and another reputable tranny guy can't get the truck to replicate the problem so they can't tell me what the heck the probelm is. It doesn't happen all the time, but it is getting more and frequent where it will slip out of gear and then slam back in after a second or two.

The problem never happens in city driving, no burnt fluid, no blinking light on the shifter handle. It's driving me insane.

You actually have the E4OD, electronically controlled. It's probably electrically related. I think the MLPS or something like that. Manual Lever Position Switch It tells the tranny what gear to be in.
