good idea or bad?? would you prefure these over pivot blocks? and why dont they make the spring hanger pivot also? Can you run pivot blocks or pivot shackles in the front??

Or are you talking about a "Revolver" type set up where the shackle has the freedom to rotate as is drops/swings?

I think these would help by relieving the side load place on the springs somewhat. Although they are still limited at the fixed end of the spring, which I think would accelerate bushing wear on that end.

That looks like a torn spring hanger waiting to happen.

It would be fawking badass on the ramp, but in the real world, it is another thing to break. Let your spring do the drooping, not some gimmick....

That looks like 3 shackles were getting it on and they stuck together :( :barf:

KISS- Keep It Simple Stupid All that crap looks great on the ramp but WHEN (not if) it breaks its gonna be ugly. Just find leaf springs that work the way you want and have a regular normal fawking shackle.

Before long people will be using steel chains for their shackles and wondering why their rearend just passed them on the freeway doing 60mph.

Heres what I run. I first made these back in 95 for my first trip to moab. I ran them for 6 or so years as 1.750" widths and i just recently changed them to 2.5" for my soa/lengthening project.

The ones I built work well but I dont think a second pivot is nessecary if you have the right springs. I would tend to think that the control factor would be scary.

Mine have a lock that is built into them for hwy driving so
theres no chance that they could open up. but when you thow that other pivot in there like the first pics thats when I think it could get scary.

But, you never know.
