I did a post about arb leaking back up through the solenoid, and I see that other people are having the same problem. Now this is what I was thinking. Mine is in the rear. How many of you are having the problem with the rear and not the front? Some said that it could be caused by over filling the diff. Now what I was thinking is that most of us with jeeps have a short ass rear driveline and the pinion angle is high; mine is around 30 deg. I would think that most jeeps are about 15-30. Now that would make the line where it is full on a different spot on the ARB inside, now I know that the oil gets all over in there during driving, but when it is just sitting it could be seeping in an area that would not normally have oil just sitting on it. Could this be a problem, I am not sure but it was just something that I was thinking. Think about it and let everyone and myself, wondering why they have oil coming back up the line.

Mine doesn't/hasn't blown oil out the air line but it has blown out the breather so I know its full of oil.
factory TJ 44. Pinion higher than I like it pic here http://community.webshots.com/photo/28762409/30399831XmFUMKZqAx
Had the ARB in for 9 months, about 2500 miles and a few (not enough) trail runs.
maybe its not installed right since it doesn't spew oil like everyone elses ;)
I am willing to bet it is the seal on the bearing where the air line attaches inside the diff. The seal leaks then juice travels up the line that will eventually kill your solenoid or compressor. It is common. Usually damaged during install. Give ARB a call and let us know what they say.

From what I have been told, it is pretty common to have a little oil travel up the line.
That's why most guys around here use 3-way air toggle switches with a fitted exhaust port and run a puke line (blue) to the outside of the driver's compartment so ya don't have to take a rag to it ... ;)

I'm thinking of converting mine to the air switch, what switch are you using, got a part number and who carries them? I want to get rid of all the solenoids and relay to remove more points of failure.

you can get the parts from www.grainger.com or sun has a nice kit. central4wd.com sells it.
