OK. i recently picked up an 88 XJ. real clean,pretty damn straight,4.0/auto,little bit'o'suspension,and respectable tires. only problem was that someone used thier "vast technical knowledge" to work on the steering column. In doing so they must have "undone" something that should have been "done". so now when i hook up a battery i get nothing. not even click.not even cab lights.....not even underhood lights.but i can "jump" the starter with a screwdriver. at least it spins,just doesn't kick out. so if i can't figure it out with a little help from you fine people,there will be a very decent XJ fo sale or trade.

any thoughts?

well that sucks......anyone need an xj?
