I have seen the RE TJ brackets, and although they are heavy duty, I would like to look for something that fits an 8.8 tube. (The RE brackets need to be ground to fit the bigger tubes of the 8.8, right?) M.O.R.E. makes an 8.8 kit, but I have not seen it anywhere except their web site. So, has anyone used the M.O.R.E. kit, and, if so, how did you like it?

Lachlan,
You are correct on the RE brackets needing to be ground to fit the 8.8 tubes. (even then the pivot points aren't exact, but close) That is the route I went a couple of years ago on my 8.8.
I have talked with Alan at MORE and he said the brackets he has fit great. He will have more info for you.

The RE brackets are very good quality. I put a set on a Dana 60 and they work just fine. I amount that you have to grind isn't that much. I would want to see the quality of the MORE one before I went that way. No disc to MORE they make good stuff, I just haven't seen the brackets. The RE stuff is first class, Dyna trac has used the RE brackets for the build up on the TJ axle requests. I think that it's only recently that they have had there own made.
A good friend of mine just put an 8.8 in the rear of his TJ. He used the M.O.R.E. brackets and is extremely pleased with how they worked ... no grinding, no cutting, just burn 'em on. Go for 'em.

They fit nicely on a 9" (3.25" tube diameter).

Then that settles that... I'll call M.O.R.E. and order a set. I emailed them to ask about holes drilled, etc, and got a really fast and cool response from them. They sealed the deal with me with that email... Good customer service is all it takes. I think most (me included) would say that RE is a little lax regarding that one. Thanks to all who posted for the help. Now I just need to find a Detroit for it that I can afford to pay for!

The RE and MORE brackets are the same price. The 8.8 MORE brackets I installed were an excellent fit. The 9" ones required a bit of grinding to clear the gussets for the centersection, but no biggie
